Monday, February 8th is
the kick off of the “Pennies for
Patients” fundraiser for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Iowa.
This is the 3rd year for the program at our school and hopefully we
can have another successful fund drive. Last year we raised over
$3500 as a school and were able to help many families affected by blood cancer
diseases. Once again our honor student for our school is Garrett
Asmus, who successfully battled Hodgkin’s Disease last year. A
letter was sent home with all Elementary and Middle School students explaining the
program. Also all the elementary students and most of the middle school
kids will receive collection boxes to aid in this years fund raising.
Collection
boxes will be sent home on Monday, February 8th. Also, every
classroom, advisor group, or seminar group will be given a larger collection
box to aid in the process. Again this year, a pizza party will be
given to the groups raising the most funds in the elementary, middle school,
and high school levels. Good luck and let me know if you have any
questions. Brad Huntington
Please
inform the school if you have cancelled your landline or changed your cell

riding the school bus in the morning, please try to notify the driver
the
night before.
