GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

A) BOARD GOALS

It is the goal of the North Iowa Community School District to expect all district employees and elected officials to reflect fiscal responsibility and long-term fiscal planning .

 

B) ANNUAL PROGRESS GOALS

Reading

Long Term Goal: All K-12 students will achieve at high levels in reading comprehension, prepared for success beyond high school.

 

Annual Goal: To increase percent of students in grades 3-8 and 10 scoring at or above grade level on the vocabulary subtest of the Gates MacGinitie Reading Assessment .

D)  The internal Technology Committee will meet again in early December.

 I)  Staff Development December 21 and January 3, 2007 ---- both days are from 8:00 – 3:30.  Would these be good days to share some holiday treats with co-workers?????
