GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

A) ESSENTIAL LEARNINGS

     North Iowa students will be successful communicators.  Successful communicators:

      *express needs and ideas so others understand,

   *interprets experiences,

    *evaluates and analyzes information,

    *listens and perceives information from others.

 

B) ANNUAL PROGRESS GOALS

Math

Long Term Goal: All K-12 students will achieve at high levels in mathematics, prepared for success beyond high school.

 

Annual Goal: The percent of students scoring proficient (70%) on the district Computation Test  (grades 2-8) and the district Algebra Test (grade 10) will increase using two-year averaging.

 

C) ELECTRONIC  GRADE  BOOK  COMMITTEE:  Connie Brooks, Allen Twait, Sue Sime, Louise Hagedorn.   Our remaining meetings will be  January 23 and February 6.  We will meet in the HS media center at 3:40.  WE  ARE   MAKING  HUGE  PROGRESS !

E)  The North Iowa Home Page is the gauge we use to determine if we go outside for recess or not.  IT the air temperature  OR  wind chill is at or below  ZERO  we will have indoor recess.  As long as the temperature is above zero we will go outside.   Exceptions will be rain or wet snow.

 

F)  The auditorium renovation gets back into full swing after a month of concerts and drama productions.
