A) OUR EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY
We believe parents,
the school, and the community must impart to students a system of moral
standards and beliefs allowing them to function in a democratic society.
B) ANNUAL PROGRESS
GOALS
Long Term Goal: All
K-12 students will achieve at high levels in reading comprehension, prepared
for success beyond high school.
Annual Goal: To
increase percent of students in grades 3-8 and 10 scoring at or above grade
level on the vocabulary subtest of the Gates MacGinitie
Reading Assessment.

D) The Christmas video for
grades K – 2 will begin as close to 12:30 as we can and will be shown in the
COMMONS. Each student will bring her/his
own chair to the video.
E)
The Christmas video for grades 3 & 4 will be in the multi-purpose
room. The video will begin in the
afternoon. Students can sit on the
floor OR
can bring in their chair ---- faculty can decide which will work best.
F)
December 21 and January 3 are staff development days. These are scheduled to be
full days. The agenda will be out at the
end of the week. Both days will begin at 8:00.
G)
December 20 is the last full day of school for students before Christmas break.
They return on Wednesday, January 3, 2006

to determine if we go outside for recess or not. IT the air temperature OR
wind chill is at or below
ZERO we will have indoor
recess. As long as the temperature is
above zero we will go outside.
Exceptions will be rain or wet snow.
K) Thank you to Mr. Swenson and his Theater Arts
class for the program they shared on December 16.
L) The auditorium renovation gets back into full
swing after a month of concerts and drama productions.
M) KIOW-FM will be airing the North Iowa Christmas Concerts as follows:
North Iowa HS band, Wednesday, December 21, at 4:30 PM.
North Iowa HS vocal, Thursday, December 22, at 3:30 PM.
