Culture Climate Goals - Long Term Goal: All K-12 students will achieve at high levels in science, prepared for success beyond high school.

● Tuesday, November 4 is the first Tuesday following the first Monday in an even-number year ------- we all know that means it is a federal election year ----- Plan to do your civic duty and vote ----- Make an informed vote ---- do the research.

● Thank you to all those who have worked so hard to make connections for students around the election.   Thank you to Kim Ostermann and Deb Aukes for their efforts around Team Nutrition and the ties to the election.

● We host a professional chef on Tuesday as part of our Team Nutrition efforts.  Stress to students the importance of this event and the efforts our food service staff makes to guarantee a high quality balanced menu.

Make an effort to attend one of the performances of the fall play  “Phantom of the Soap Opera” on Friday or Saturday.  The students notice who attends and it means a great deal to them to see their current or former teachers in attendance.

THANK YOU  for all the cooperation and feedback following our emergency procedure drills.

Remember to contact parents who may have missed their Parent-Teacher conference.  We want 100% participation.

● Veterans Day is Tuesday, November 11.   What will you do in your class to recognize those who have served or are currently serving in the military to protect our freedoms?

● Next Special Education Team meeting is Thursday, November 13 ----- 4:00.

● Remember as a General Education teacher you are required to attend special education staffings and GEI brainstorming sessions

Respect and Responsibility ------ How often do your students use the phases “PLEASE” and “THANK YOU?”

● Your WebPages should now contain:

ü      your daily schedule,

ü      a link to your lesson plans,

ü      helpful links/hints for parents to use when working with their children,

ü      a brief statement about yourself, family, background,

ü      something about your educational philosophy.

● Monday, November 3rd is the 50th day of school for elementary. The Fonz says, “Dress for the Day”! Think 50’s: Poodle skirts, saddle shoes, jeans, leather jackets, varsity sweaters, scarves, penny loafers”

● November 15 is Bucks for Boosters.  Our music booster group does wonderful things for our students ---- please support his great fundraiser.
