Reading Achievement  Goals   

 

Long Term Goal: All K-12 students will achieve at high levels in reading comprehension, prepared for success beyond high school.

● Thank you to the 5th grade students who took part in the Veterans Day ceremonies.  You did a great job.

● Bullying and Harassment ------ recess supervisors need to be aggressive in the prevention of any type of bullying or unsportsmanlike conduct ----- notes home to parents --- denial of recess activities ---- notification of the classroom teacher ---- we need to be proactive.

Kindergarten-Prep Thanksgiving program for parents is Tuesday, November 25 – 9:00 --- in the Commons.

 

The 403B forms need to be sent to Cheryl Benn from your provider very soon.  

 

● Respect and Responsibility -------------- How often do your students use the phases “PLEASE”  and  “THANK YOU?”.

● Your webpage should be up and running.  Keep in mind no one is required to put personal information on their webpage if they are not comfortable sharing that information.   The purpose behind your webpage is to be another communications tool with parents (assignments, useful websites, spelling lists, upcoming events, etc.).

● Elementary Christmas Concert ----- Tuesday, December 2.

 

We have had some very busy weeks lately.   Thank to everyone who goes out of their way to help make things go smoothly despite disrupted schedules.

 

Cold and Flu season is upon us.   Remind students to wash their hands frequently.  Get plenty of rest.

 

● We owe Sue Keil a big THANK YOU for her efforts to coordinate our artist in residence this week.

            Gwynne Burke will be our artist ---- artist/puppetry

            She will conduct her workshop in the old cafeteria.

            Visit with your students about being respectful. 

            Place yourself in a position that you can easily monitor students during certain portions of the program.
