GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

A) BROAD PROGRAM GOALS

We must produce students who can adapt to change, respect others, and work cooperatively to become contributing members of society.

 

B) ANNUAL PROGRESS GOALS

Math

Long Term Goal: All K-12 students will achieve at high levels in mathematics, prepared for success beyond high school.

 

Annual Goal: The percent of students scoring proficient (70%) on the district Computation Test (grades 2-8) and the district Algebra Test (grade 10) will increase using two-year averaging.

 

C)  Parent-Teacher-Student Conferences --- November 1 and November 3 ---- WE  WILL  HAVE  100%  participation --- if parents do not attend each teacher will contact the parent at home the following week.   Our conferences are important to gain greater parental involvement in the education of each child.

N) Ole, Swen, and Lars have been seen in the neighborhood ----- I sure hope they are not going to attempt to get on stage again Friday night at the Variety Show !!!?!???!

 

O) NOVEMBER 15 WILL BE THE 2005 PARENTING FAIR.  The elementary early childhood committee is coordinating the effort.   The early childhood committee has great things planned.    Promote the event during your conferences --- there will be a handout.
