Board Goal:

It is the goal of the North Iowa Community School District to expect all district employees and elected officials to reflect fiscal responsibility and long-term fiscal planning.

Culture Climate Goals

Long Term Goal: North Iowa students will treat each other respectfully.

Remember as a General Education teacher you are required to attend special education staffings and GEI brainstorming sessions.

● Elementary Faculty Meeting will be Wednesday. September 17 --- 7:30 a.m. ---- Bring your Portfolio to share with each other ------ bring your Individual Professional Growth Plan and your Team Professional Growth Plan.

● District-wide assessment continue this week. Please return to Mike Evans when completed or by Oct. 10

● LESSON PLANS ----- everyone needs to have them on-line by the end of the day on Friday.

● “Soaring and Exploring” conference ----- Saturday, September 27 ---- NIACC

● September 24 and 25 we will have hearing screening for K-Prep, Kindergarten, First, Second, and Eighth grade plus all new students to the district. Both days will begin at 8:30.

● Respect and Responsibility.

● ZERO TOLERANCE on the playground for fighting, arguing, teasing, or rough play.

● Your webpages should now contain your daily schedule, a link to your lesson plans, helpful links/hints for parents to use when working with their children.

● Support Staff Update meetings ---- Sept. 25 and 26

● We are offering a pep bus to away games. Students in middle school and high school are encouraged to sign up.

● Training for Skills Iowa (Skills Tutor) will be September 24.  2:00 at the Middle School and 3:15 at the BC Building. If any of the elementary teachers would like to attend the M/S secession and then work with the teachers at the middle school on the district wide assessment scoring you are welcome to do so. Please let Mike Evans know ahead of time.

● Be sure your child abuse training is up to date. If your certificate was 2005 or prior you will need to complete the on-line training within the next two weeks.

● September 24 – Early Dismissal – Staff Development 1:30/1:50 p.m.
