GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

A) BOARD GOALS

     It is the goal of the North Iowa Community School District to expect all learners, regardless of age or background, to demonstrate the appropriate use and understanding of technology as a tool in learning and work.

B) ANNUAL PROGRESS GOALS

      Science

Long Term Goal: All K-12 students will achieve at high levels in science, prepared for success beyond high school.

Annual Goal: The percent of students in grades 6, 8 and 11 that score at the intermediate level or higher will increase (ITBS, ITED) or the percent of students scoring proficient (3 or higher) will increase from fall to spring on the district science assessment (grades 5-8 and 10).

C) Please have your laminating upstairs by noon today.  Sometimes I may laminate Thursday afternoon.  Laminator is in closet in 3rd floor elevator room.  Please pick up laminating right away as Mrs. Peake also uses that room.  Thank you, Janell

  D) K-Prep through grade 2  behavior management training with Keva Hale on September 13                                             and 28.  Plan to attend both meetings.  The training will take place in the elementary           media center and run from 3:40 – 5:00.

    E) ARE YOUR PLAYGROUND POSTERS HANGING NEAR THE PLAYGROUND DOOR?
