a)     Keva Hale is here for training at 3:30 for all K-Prep through grade 2 faculty and staff.  If you work with ANY K-prep through grade 2 students you should attend this training.

Wednesday, Aug. 31 (Day 5)

a) Family/Church Night: All school activities are concluded prior to 6:00 p.m. and all students are out of the building.

Thursday, Sept. 1 (Day 6)

a) First day of Head Start

Friday, Sept. 2 (Day 2)

a)     All faculty members should have their self-assessment sheet completed

b)     By the end of the day—POST your classroom expectations and discuss with students what those expectations mean and be sure Mr. Hill has a copy on file.

c)     Have a wonderful Labor Day weekend

A) BOARD GOALS

It is the goal of the North Iowa Community School District to reflect a student centered atmosphere in every offering or action taken by the school board, administrative team, faculty, and support staff.

 

B) ANNUAL PROGRESS GOALS

 

Reading –

 

Long Term Goal:All K-12 students will achieve at high levels in reading comprehension, prepared for success beyond high school.

 

Annual Goal: To increase percent of students in grades 3-8 and 10 scoring at or above grade level on the vocabulary subtest of the Gates MacGinitie Reading Assessment.

 

 

C) Substitute teacher file should be complete (as per the Faculty Handbook) and in the top drawer of your desk

 

D) Begin posting weekly lesson plans  ON-LINE

 

E) September 9 --- Post your grading / assessment policy in  your classroom --- make sure a copy goes to the principal

 

F) Child Abuse On-line training is due this week --- give Mrs. Benn  a copy of the certificate you receive upon completion

 

G) Visit with students how they are to behave at athletic events and what they do during the National Anthem

 

H) Paras please give the offices copies of your schedule as soon as it is set.

 

I) If you have any registration materials that was given to you at conferences that you have not turned it to Rena, please do so Monday.
