D)  No School Monday, September 3 -----Labor Day

E)  Swimming for PE. ----- weather permitting

F) It looks like the AEA will not allow the Character Education class to be for graduate credit.

I hope they will grant license renewal credit in the near future.

G)  Touch base with your students regarding the  new bullying/harassment policy.

H) Be at the recess door to walk your class back to your room.  Recess supervisors need to hold the students until the teacher arrives to lead them.

 I)  We will have a stop light in the Commons in the near future.  The stop light automatically monitors the level of voices and will flash yellow as a warning or red when all talking stops because the volume was too loud.

J) October10 is our North Iowa Conference Professional Development Day at NIACC.   The planning committee will be meeting in the very near future to put the final touches on the day and the follow-up.  Daryl Scott will be our keynote speaker.  His daughter was Rachel Scott.  Rachel was the first child killed in the Columbine High School shootings in late April, 1999.  The following day a team of trainers from the Rachel Scott Foundation will work with our middle school students.  This all ties directly to the Bullying/Harassment conversations we have had and our new policy.

 K)  In the next few days schedule an appointment to meet with me to discuss your Professional Development Goal and your Team Goal.

L)  ZERO  TOLERANCE  on the playground for fighting, arguing, teasing, or rough play.
