A wonderful start to the 2008-2009 school year.  Thank you to everyone who worked so hard to make everything work smoothly for children.

We want 100% attendance at our Before School Conferences.  If a parent did not attend ----- be sure to make the telephone call to convey all the important information.

• September 24 and 25 we will have hearing screening for K-Prep, Kindergarten, First, Second, and Eighth grade plus all new students to the district.    Both days will begin at 8:30.

Go out of your way to make our new teachers and support staff members feel welcome.

.   ZERO  TOLERANCE  on the playground for fighting, arguing, teasing, or rough play.

In the near future the new elementary technology lab will fully operational.

I appreciate the ideas from Mrs. A. Anderson regarding the arrangement and potential uses.

A big pat on the back for Mr. Blodgett for all his engineering and set-up.  Thank you to Mr. Ralls as he installs the new                 computers.

Thank you to the custodians getting the room presentable after all the changes.

On non-media days that lab will be available for “whole-class” experiences as well as small group projects.  We need to each work out areas we can incorporate more use of technology in day-to-day lessons with our students.

1)       What can you do?

2)       How can you help coach students to use technology more effectively and efficiently?

3)       How can you use technology in small group settings?

4)       How can you integrate technology into some drill and practice experiences in critical reading or math areas?
