GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

A) Our Educational Philosophy

We believe the relationship between the teacher and the learner requires a commitment to learning by all parties involved

 

B) ANNUAL PROGRESS GOAL

Math

Long Term Goal: All K-12 students will achieve at high levels in mathematics, prepared for success beyond high school..

Annual Goal: The percent of students scoring proficient (70%) on the district Computation Test (grades 2-8) and the district Algebra Test (grade 10) will increase using two-year averaging..

 

C)  Thank you for the wonderful inservice days we have had so far this year.   Your openness to learning new things is inspiring.  This is a wonderful and powerful educational team.

 

D)  Take a moment to stop and visit with our new faculty and support staff members.  Remember your first few days as a teacher?  Let them know we are all here to help and support each other.

 

E)  Swimming for PE. ----- weather permitting

 

F)  Parent-Teacher-Student Goalsetting Conferences ------ Tuesday and Wednesday ----- This is a perfect time to set forth classroom expectations,   share grade-level benchmarks,  and review the schedule.    Other items to discuss are the bus conduct policy (brochure) and the new bullying/harassment policy.

 

G) Be at the recess door to walk your class back to your room.  Recess supervisors need to hold the students until the teacher arrives to lead them.

 

. H)  GOOD  CITIZENSHIP  EVERYWHERE----- inside voices ---- line basics ---- “Please” ---- “Thank You” --- “Excuse Me”

 

I) On Friday discuss with your students what is proper conduct at football or volleyball games during the national anthem.   Discuss sportsmanship.  

 

 J)  ZERO  TOLERANCE  on the playground for fighting, arguing, teasing, or rough play.
