A) Our Educational Philosophy

We believe all children can and will learn.

B) ANNUAL PROGRESS GOAL

Reading

Long Term Goal: All K-12 students will achieve at high levels in reading comprehension, prepared for success beyond high school..

Annual Goal: To increase percent of students in grades 3-8 and 10 scoring at or above grade level on the vocabulary subtest of the Gates MacGinitie Reading Assessment.

C) June 13 is our summer inservice day. We are very fortunate to have Cathy Angel presenting. Ms. Geitzenauer has worked very hard to make this day reality and we owe her a hearty thank you. She is also ordering the materials for the day. We will be able to use those throughout the year next year.

D) MAKE – UP DAYS:

November 10 was made-up on February 16.

January 15 will be made-up on April 5.

March 1 will be made-up on April 9.

March 2 will be made-up on May 29.

April 11 will be made-up on May 30

E) Bison Clubhouse Summer School --- June 11 – July 12 --- Monday – Thursday

K-2^nd = 8:30-10; 3^rd – 4^th = 10:00-11:30; Middle School = 9:00- 11:00

Reading and Math benchmarks are the focus.

We need two certified teachers. DO WE HAVE ANY TAKERS?????

F) Last day of school is May 30 ---- IT IS A 1:10/1:30 DISMISSAL

May 31 and June 1 are staff development days.

G)On May 22 we held the Little Bison Track Meet ---- Mrs. VanderWilt did a magnificent job organizing the day. Thank you all those who helped make it such a success.

H) Remember to give Rena your report cards sometime Friday-if you have them ready before she’ll take them whenever you have them ready. I’ll also need your class lists for next year before you leave for the summer.
