GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

A) OUR EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY

We believe the school should actively develop a partnership involving parents and the community.  The purpose of the partnership is to help insure the learner achieve success.

 

B) ANNUAL PROGRESS GOALS

Culture Climate for Learning

Long Term Goal: North Iowa students will treat each other respectfully. 

 

Annual Goal: The percent of students responding 3 or higher on question 6 of the Building Tomorrow Survey will increase .

 

 

Marlys Ebaugh, audiologist will be here for hearing follow-up on Wed., May 17th.  At BC in the am to do selected students preschool through 12.  She will call students out of class as needed.  Please send students to my office when she calls.  She will then travel to Thompson (my office) to do follow-up there (maybe noon???????).

 

Please let me know if you have any students that you would like their hearing checked.

G) Be sure to extend a thank you to our RSVP  volunteers who have been so faithful and dedicated to our students.

 

H) Are there a couple of volunteers to help  present to the rest of the faculty on May 31?   District-wide we will be working on narrowing and defining our benchmarks   PLUS  developing a rubric for those benchmarks.

    The Elementary Team has accomplished a great deal.   How can we help the other levels through this process?

M) Next school board meeting is TUESDAY,  MAY 9 ---- we had to alter the regular meeting date because we host the North Iowa Conference Girls Track Meet on Monday, May 8.

 

N) Graduation is  May 21.

 

O) May 26 is the last day of the 2005-2006 school year ----- it is a 1:10/1:30 dismissal.    

 

P) May 30 and May 31 are staff development days ---- 8:00 – 4:00 daily.
