H) “Please  and  “Thank You”  ---- make a major push to make this reality and habit for our students and ourselves.

I) I am very impressed with all the work and the rich discussion around benchmarks and rubrics.  We have made huge progress since last fall.

Are there a couple of volunteers to present what you have accomplished to the rest of the staff on May 31?

J)  I need two lower and two upper elementary volunteers to meet with the Academic/Personnel Committee on Wednesday afternoon.

K)  We host several guests this week.   It is a huge compliment to our school district and all the things we do here when others wish they could duplicate it.  We take for granted just how good we have it.

L)  DID  YOU  KNOW in 1905:

Ø       The American flag had only 45 stars

Ø       The population of Las Vegas, Nevada, was only 30 !!!

Ø       Crossword puzzles and ice tea had not been invented yet.

Ø       There was no Mother’s  Day or Father’s Day

Ø       Two out of every 10 adults in the U.S. could not read or write.

M) “Are you the one some student will remember for the rest of her/his life?  Have you had that kind of impact on who they are?”  Simon Estes, October 12, 2005.

He will have time to visit with the 4th grade at the end of lunch.   Please have your class come up with 2 or 3 questions about the statue or the process.  This will take about 15 minutes at the end of lunch.

P) Fourth Grade Transition Day is May 12.
