GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

A) BROAD PROGRAM GOALS

We must provide students with an understanding of the global nature of society, the interdependence of the world’s people, and their effect on the world’s environment.

B) ANNUAL PROGRESS GOALS

Reading

Long Term Goal: All K-12 students will achieve at high levels in reading comprehension, prepared for success beyond high school.

Annual Goal: To increase percent of students in grades 3-8 and 10 scoring at or above grade level on the vocabulary subtest of the Gates MacGinitie Reading Assessment.

We see things one way----- the person or child sitting next you may see the same thing in vastly different ways. Interesting.

C) Here is schedule for heights and weights, so mark your calendars as this is your only notification.  Please send 10 students at first as it does not take long to do their measurements and then one at a time as one student returns. If you have a Para, could she/he bring down the first group to help with supervision?   Bring your special report cards and I will get ht/wt recorded on those records.  Thanks,  Deb
