Pasta Salad

For Salad:                                                                              For Dressing:

10 oz dried or 12 oz fresh farfalle (bow pasta) 1 cup mayonnaise

˝ lb. thin green beans                                                         4 tbs. lemon juice

9 oz can of tuna                                                                    a pinch of salt and of ground black pepper

10 cherry tomatoes                                                              4 fresh chives

Store in the refrigerator and eat on the day you make it.

1. Half-fill a large saucepan with water.  Heat it until it boils, then add the pasta and stir it with a wooden spoon.

2. Cook the pasta for as long as it says on the package.  Drain it through a colander, then pour it back into the pan to cool.

3. Mix a little butter into the pasta.  Snip the ends off the beans and cut them in half.  Then, half-fill a pan with water.

4. Boil the water, then add the beans.  Cook the beans for 5 minutes, then drain them.  Rinse them with cold water.

5. Open the can of tuna and drain it through a sieve.  Put the tuna on a saucer and use a fork to break it up a little.

6. Cut the tomatoes in half.  Then, put them into a large bowl with the pasta, beans and tuna.  Mix everything well.

7. For the dressing, put the mayonnaise, lemon juice, salt and pepper into a bowl.  Mix everything together with a fork.

8. Pour the dressing over the pasta mixture.  Use a fork to toss the mixture in the dressing so all of the pieces are covered.

9. Cut the chives into tiny pieces, then scatter them over the salad.  Serve the salad right away or put it into the refrigerator.
