Stebens Children’s Theater performers did a good job last week.  I was very proud of our students and their good citizenship.

“PROCEDURES   MUST BE PRACTICED.”   Harry Wong ------ Recess rules need to be practiced.  Lining up when the whistle blows is a procedure.  Practice it ---- explain the purpose for the rule.  Be consistent in how the rule is enforced.   Now that we have returned from Christmas it is especially important to review procedures and practice them over and over again.

● Respect and Responsibility - How often do your students use the phases “PLEASE” and “THANK YOU?”.

● Cold and Flu season is upon us.  Remind students to wash their hands frequently.  Get plenty of rest.

● We are hosting several college students during the second semester as they complete their clinical experience.  They are future teachers and we want them to feel part of our school and welcome.  They come here to learn from the best teachers in northern Iowa.  Give them things to do and responsibilities in your classroom.  I thank each of you for sharing y our expertise ---- you are helping shape the future.
