GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS
A) One of our districts broad program goals is:
We must provide students with an understanding of the global nature of society, the interdependence of the worlds people, and their effect on the worlds environment.
The events of this past September should make it all to obvious
the need for us to be proactive and help our young people gain a deeper understanding of the interconnectedness of our world in the 21st century. We are all different but we share the same limited space and for that reason need to understand how other view the world around them. While understanding alone is not the only key it is the opening in the door that can help lead to better understanding and international problem-solving.
B) DISCUSS CLASSROOM RULES ----- Why do we have them? What do they mean?
C) Our Culture/Climate Committee deserves a huge pat on the back for all their work to pull together this week to learn more about Hispanic culture. This is a great time to celebrate our own diversity and the Melting Pot that has made America so great.
Put special emphasis on the special lessons you deliver this week. Celebrate the rich Hispanic culture and all this group brings to our American family.
D) Our elementary faculty meeting will be April 3 from 3:30 - 4:15 in the Elementary Media Center. All full-time faculty are expected to be present. If you have daycare concerns or appointments make sure they are taken care of prior to our meeting. Our topic : AG DAY 2002. Kathy Thomsen will lead our discussion.
E) REMIND ALL TOWN STUDENTS they are to leave the playground and walk home right after school is dismissed. They can return to the playground after the rural routes leave if their parents have given them permission.
It is tight quarters on the playground after school and with the town students also out there it can easily lead to bumps and bruises. This has always been the rule but some chose to ignore it. The recess supervisors are doing their best to protect all children.
Thank you.

O) A young lady goes into a restaurant and notices there's a "peel
and win" sticker on her coffee cup. So she's peels it off and
starts screaming, "I've won a motor home! I've won a motor home!"
The waitress says, "That's impossible. The biggest prize is
a free lunch."
But the customer keeps screaming, "I've won a motor home!
I've won a motor home!"
Finally the manager comes over and says, "Ma'am, I'm sorry,
but you're mistaken. You couldn't possibly have won a motor
home because we didn't have that as a prize!"
The young lady says, "No it's not a mistake. I've won a motor
home!" And she hands the ticket to the manager and he reads...
"WIN A BAGEL "
