Lunch menu:  Flying saucer, Jell-O with fruit, sandwich.   Optional lunch entrée option this week is sub sandwich.

 

MS Book Club:  There will be a MS Book Club meeting TODAY during 9th hour in the MS Media Center.  Please check in with your homeroom first. 

 

The following students should stop and see Mr. Embrock sometime today:  Rodymar Galvan and Tristan Tabb.

 

All middle school students will continue with the Iowa Assessments on March 15, 20, and 22 from 8:25-10:25 a.m.  The purpose of the Iowa Assessments is to measure your academic growth over the course of this past school year.  Students need to give their best effort in order for the school to have an accurate measurement of their academic growth.  Remember to bring a #2 pencil.  We will follow a 2 hour late start schedule after the 2 hour testing sessions on these testing dates.

                 

End of 3rd Quarter is March 22nd.  Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held March 27 and March 29.  Parents can sign up online at www.northiowa.org on the lower right hand side under “Registration” then click on “Conferences sign up.”  Online scheduling will be available through March 18th. 

 

“Way Above the Line” - Shoe earners will be announced on Mondays and will be at the front of the lunch line on Tuesdays.  Step Up!  Be respectful… Be responsible… Be a Bison!  This week’s shoe earners are Mackenzie Bengston and Krista Schutter.  Great job!

 

The annual dodge ball tournament will be held on April 7th at 10 a.m.  Cost per team is $65 if you register before 3/30.  After that it increases to $75.  Forms are available on the school home page and can be returned to Dy Quisling.  Please note there is NO HIGH SCHOOL division this year.  All teams will be divided into either ALL MALE, ALL FEMALE or COED (at least 1/3 of the team is of the opposite sex).  Foam balls will return to this year’s tournament!!   If you are under 18, please make sure to get a liability form signed by your parents to turn in with your registration.

 

Cell phones, Ipods, & other gaming devices:  are not allowed during the school day except with special permission. 

 

REMINDER:  tops of lockers should be cleared off by the end of the day on Fridays.

 

Make-up days for Jan. 20 and Jan. 23 will be April 5 and April 6.  Make-up day for March 6th is May 25th.

 

Students should be done eating breakfast before 1st period.  You MUST EAT early enough to ensure you will make it to your first class on time!

 

ABSENCES--Students are reminded that they are not allowed to participate and/or attend school activities if they have missed that day of school or the last half of the school day.  Please ask Mr. Embrock if you have any questions in regards to this.
